Who Is Asimco Properties
Asimco Properties was started in 2003 as a subsidiary of Asimco Textiles and is owned and managed by its founder Asim Bahtti.
Asimco Textiles was the original company that dealt in the Textile Industry and our clothing stores, but we have since transitioned away from textiles and focus on the real estate now. The company was originally called Asimco textiles Inc. but is now operating as Asimco Properties.
Asimco Properties got its start in Barrie Ontario buy purchasing houses to renovate and lease out. We would enhance and beautify the property and provide much needed affordable housing. From there Asimco started buying in North Bay, Ontario as the market was expanding rapidly.
The reasoning to start Asimco was that I had spent much time in Management positions as well as Retail store owner and i realized the person making the most money here was the landlord. I had all the risk of the stores and the long hours and the landlord had the security of the building. That’s when the transition happened.
The motivation to venture into the other businesses was the fact that we were using them anyway.
As a landlord, tenants bring bugs into the building. Its just a fact of life. So I became a licensed exterminator so that I could properly deal with my properties and any issue that may arise. That allowed me to understand what the best products and methods were to use for things like bed bugs and that is why I purchased the heat machines and as we had the machines for ourselves, it was just sensible to market the services.
Concrete Pump truck is because i needed concrete pumping for our construction projects and it made sense to just buy my own for when needed it and of course we can market the services. The Lumber store is the same as I will always have regular supply.
Asimco Properties focuses on building with ICF blocks and Hollowcore floors as it is the most energy efficient method. It is not the same wood frame construction but rather a great highly insulated product filled with Concrete to make the buildings some of the strongest and safest buildings made!
We have good relationships with the City Hall specifically in North Bay as they are wonderful to deal with. They truly want the city to grow and thrive and they are so helpful and accommodating. They have created programs to streamline the approval process between all the departments and help at every possible opportunity. We cannot say enough about the City Staff in North Bay city hall.
